Synopsis:

A pestering journey is a documentary film directed by K.R. Manoj. A voyage through two similar pesticide tragedies in post independent India, Pestering Journey interrogates the legitimate forms and technologies of killing available in a culture. In an atypical move it challenges and changes the idioms of pesticide and genocide. It is a journey which takes a pestering turn and blurs the boundaries of nature and culture, of self and other, of life and death and many other comfortable binaries.

• The filled up form can be sent either online or by post
• Please note the registration no of the form and send along with stamp size photograph (if not sent online) and delegate fee to Secretary, Federation of Film Societies of India Office, Kalabhavan, Thiruvananthapuram 695014, Kerala Ph: 0091 471 2321953
• You may collect your Delegate card only after submission of money from Federation of Film Societies of India Office, Kalabhavan, Thiruvananthapuram after 23rd July 2011.
• If you want the card to be sent to you, please enclose Rs 5/- (Five rupees) stamped self addressed envelope along with registration no, delegate fee and stamp size photograph.
• Card will be ready only two days after receiving the photograph and delegate fee along with registration number.
• After Online Registration please make payments by DD/Cash payable at Thiruvananthapuram to Secretary, Federation of Film Societies of India. Please write your serial number at the back of the DD.

Regulations

1. Children will not be allowed into the screening.
2. Seating will be on a first come first served basis.
3. Delegate card holder is eligible for admission to the inaugural and closing functions.
4. The delegate card holder will be eligible for admission to the theatres mentioned on the card.
5. Use of mobile phones during screenings is strictly prohibited.
6. Unauthorised photography and videography will not be allowed in the theatres.
7. Accreditation can be cancelled by the festival authorities incase of misconduct by the Delegate or misuse of the delegate card.

4th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala

4th Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala which will be held in the capital city of Kerala ,Thiruvananthapuram (formely known as Trivandrum) from 31st July to 4th August 2011. The festival, a unique venture in India is being organized by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy for the Dept of Cultural Affairs, Govt of Kerala, as part of its endeavor to catalyse a vibrant documentary and short film movement. Increasing accessibility and affordability of media technology has led to a boom in the production and scope of films. The media is now used by image-makers from all walks of life to express, experiment, learn and as an effective tool to conscientise and bring about social change. The festival aims to map and reflect the exploding nature of the medium in its many facets of creativity and resistance.
